I also enclose for Your Lordship's information copy of a minute by the Colonial Director of Public Works on the petition stating the circumstances of the case, and I beg leave to recommend that the petitioner be granted an equivalent area of land on the terms laid down in that minute.
As it will shortly be necessary to deal with several similar cases, I would respectfully suggest that authority may be given to me to dispose of them on similar principles as they arise, so as to obviate the delay of previous references to Your Lordship.
